Biography

Environmental policy researcher with a PhD from Wageningen University & Research (2025) and a strong academic foundation in Economics from the University of Dhaka. My research focuses on food systems governance, urban informal food safety, rural development, poverty, agricultural policy, development economics, resilience, and social inclusion, with particular emphasis on the Global South.

I have extensive experience designing and conducting mixed-methods research, leading impact evaluations, publishing in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and supervising student research. Passionate about bridging research, policy, and practice, I am committed to creating meaningful learning experiences, mentoring students, and contributing to evidence-informed policies that promote sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food systems.
